Pan de Pita elaborado en España

Mana Pan Pita at a Christmas Party

Mana Pita bread was served at a Christmas party held at the ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries on the 21st of December 2009. It was served with several delicious fillings;

Mallorcan lamb meatballs with tahini sauce
Stir fried vegetables with a mixed herb dressing

and local fish fillings;
Moixina with russian salad
Sorell with orange slices and mixed vegetables
Gato fish with a green mixed leaf salad

All the fillings were delicious and were greatly enjoyed by all the guests.

Mana Pan Pita takes part in local fish promotion day

Mana Pan Pita was proud to be chosen as one of the products to accompany fish at a special tasting buffet held at a recent promotion day organised by the Ministry of agriculture and fisheries of the Balearic Islands. The aim of the day was to promote the quality, goodness and many culinary options available to the consumer when using fish caught around the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

At the end of the conferences all guests were invited to enjoy a innovative buffet featuring the fish and several different types of fish were served inside Mana pita bread. The caterer, Mel d’Abella, came up with some very original filling ideas including fish with russian salad, fish with orange and mixed vegetables and fish with a mixed herb sauce; all delicious when served inside either white or wholemeal pitta bread.

Where can I buy Pitta bread in Majorca?

I know there are already lots of Mana pitta bread junkies out there and thought it would be cool to let you know where you can get your hands on our bread (apart from giving us a ring direct).

We have been meeting lots of restaurant and shop owners recently, getting the word out, and Mana Pan Pita has been very gratefully received by many of them.

If you are a fan of kebabs, there are already a few of the best kebab shops on the island which use our bread. For example; Abels, a popular eatery with branches in Festival Park, Carrefour General Riera and Carrefour Coll den Rabassa, serve our pitta bread with their kebabs. We our introducing wholemeal pitta bread to kebab shops, as a new healthier version.. so watch out for that at a kebab shop near you!

If you are a vegetarian then you will no doubt be familiar with Falafel, the tasty and nutritious chickpea balls which are so delicious when served inside a pita bread with some fresh salad and a good dollop of tahini.. We are proud to be working with Omar’s Falafel Shop at number 33 Calle Fabrica, in Santa Catalina. Omar’s Lebanese food is superb and I think you will agree that our wholemeal and white pitta bread make for the perfect accompaniment.

We know how flexible pitta bread is; it can be filled with any of your favourite ingredients for a unique and original snack or meal. Some of Majorca’s restaurants and cafeterias are beginning to use their creativity to serve some tasty new sandwiches and meals using Mana pita bread. In Costa d’en Blanes, near to Marineland, fabulous ‘Sundowners‘ Cafe and restaurant has started serving pitta bread specials. Their creations include pitta bread filled with curry or pita bread filled with frito mallorquín. Restaurante La Riba, on Avenida Antonio Maura in Palma has also started serving some of its healthy and natural specialities inside wholemeal pitta bread. Fosh Food, restaurant and gourmet shop has been using our pitta bread to accompany some of its tapas at their new After Work parties on Friday evenings; they have opted for classic pitta bread marriages, such as houmous, tzatziki and taramosalata.

We also know that you like to have pitta bread in your home, stored in your freezer to help you out in those tricky moments when you have nothing ready for dinner, or you need to prepare a quick and healthy family meal. That’s why we are working hard to make Mana Pita Bread available to buy at supermarkets. For now, Mana Pitta is available to buy at Nice Price in Costa d’en Blanes.

So now you know where you can get your pitta fix; run along and enjoy! We really appreciate any tips of new places that would like to stock or serve our pitta bread. So if you know of anywhere, or have any suggestions, please let us know!
